Janice said...: My Grandfather (Tuffy Jacobs) was killed while racing at Chowchilla Race track in Madera County (Ironically) he was doing this event was for orphans/widows fundraiser on June 15, 1930. My mother was 4 years old at the time of his death. He died the following day on June 16, 1930, two weeks before his 30th Birthday.
